Bowen Barrett - 6 Months Old

How is it that 6 months has flown by in the blink of an eye?!? It seems like every time I think about blogging, it is time for another month milestone. It really does seem like yesterday we were bringing Bowen home from the hospital. I have to keep reminding myself that we are 6 months in. Bowen is such a joy these days and his little personality just keeps revealing itself to us. He is always full of smiles and giggles and the next minute he is just as serious as can be. I love to squeeze every inch of him and just can't get enough love from him. My heart has grown so much in the past 6 months and Bowen (and Crockett) have given Chris and I joy that we never knew. Bowen, you are such a precious, sweet boy. You have blessed our lives in so many ways. God made you so perfectly for our family. We love you BIG MUCH, Bowen Bear

You are wearing size 3 diapers. Size 6-12 clothes. You weigh 20.5 lbs (95th percentile). You are 26.5 in. (75th percentile) and your head circumference is 17 (90th percentile... you get that from your Daddy :) Dr. G said you are very proportionate and growing like a weed!! You roll over occasionally, but have never been too interested in it. I am not sure I put you down enough :) You are not taking Zantac anymore and have been doing great! You still sleep good at night. Usually get up 2x, sometimes better, sometimes worse. Every once in a while you will sleep all night. I still let you sleep in the nap nanny, but we nap occasionally in the crib. You seem to do okay that way. You still nap about 3 times a day. Morning, lunch and early evening. You love your bath and we have started using a seat in the bath. You really like it, since you can see everything. You love your big brother. You think Crockett is really funny, even when Mommy thinks he is being too rough with you. He loves to smother you with hugs and kisses. You smile all the time. Your smiling face is the last thing I see before I turn off your lights at night and the first thing I see in the mornings when I come get you. You are incredibly ticklish everywhere. You love to sit up and will do it on your own sometimes. We recently started food. You began lunging at plates of food at McAlister's one night, and we knew it was time. So far we have tried oatmeal :), carrots :), sweet potatoes :), peas :(, squash :(, bananas :), and applesauce :). I am going slightly out of the "correct" sequence, but that is okay. You really just want what we are having anyways! You also LOVE your sippy cup or our RED cups. You see them and immediately get excited or stop crying. It is pretty funny! I am so excited for your 1st Christmas. You love Christmas lights and seem to enjoy the music too. You are such a fun little guy. You bring a smile to the face of all those you come across and you rarely cry. You are such a trooper and just go with the flow, which I LOVE since we go, go, go A LOT of the time. You have such an even temperament and are so calm and cool most of the time. You are such a special guy and we have some SUPER, FUN times ahead of us. Can't believe 1/2 of a year has already passed.
